Amidst my mind wandering and wondering what may be in store for us, I thought of Pres. Uchtdorf's talk from last conference Of Regrets and Resolutions and how one regret people have at the end of life is not letting themselves be happy. In that talk, he says, "Doesn't it seem foolish to spoil sweet and joyful experiences because we are constantly anticipating the moment when they will end?" So instead of worrying my wonderful life away, I'd like to tell you some of the reasons life is so good (in no particular order) and there is nothing to worry about. I'm not even going to knock on wood after writing this list.
- I am in love. I have been married to Taylor for a while now and feel more and more in love with him everyday.
- We are healthy. We've had the occasional cold, but nothing major. That's pretty awesome.
- The weather is so nice. We've had some beautiful spring days and have had lots of opportunities to go outside and enjoy nature.
- We have the most wonderful family. Taylor and I are both blessed to come from big, happy families. We have great examples to look to in each of our parents, siblings, and in-laws.
- We have the gospel. The gospel is full of hope and happiness. It is a constant blessing to us and I LOVE it.
- We have the church. I love the organization of the church. It has allowed us to find ward families wherever we go and have almost immediate friends and support.
- Taylor has a job. We know where we'll be when he graduates and have a lot to look forward to.
- It is conference weekend. It is amazing that we get to hear God's message through his living prophets and apostles.
- And lots of other good stuff.
Life is so good, and I believe the future will be, too.
Amen! I love you Jenny!
